ブロックパーティスタイルを現代によみがえさせるDONUTS DISCO DELUXE
偶数月、第3水曜日を彩っているDONUTS DISCO DELUXE。
スチャダラANI、ロボ宙、ヒューマンビートボクサーのAFRAからなるこのユニットは、70年代当時ゲットー地域ブロンクスで行われていた違法野外パーティ“ブロックパーティ”のライヴ感や熱量を現代にアップデートしている。ヒップホップ、ソウル、ファンク、ディスコを軸に、DJ、MC、ヒューマンビートボクサーと3人3様の芸当を畳みかけるように繰り出すそのスタイルは、音楽やパーティ本来の楽しさを教えてくれると共に独自のパーティ感を作り出している。
毎回ポップアップコーナーを設け、フードやレコード店、アーティストによるレアなグッズ販売店も並んでいる。
DONUTS DISCO DELUXE brings back the block party style
The weekly Hip Hop party “Super Plume” crossovers various genres. Every third Wednesday hosted by Donuts Disco Deluxe. Donuts Disco Deluxe is formed by 3 individuals; DJ, MC, and beatboxer. Bringing Bronx’s 70’s style block party to Japan with a new twist, creating their own style of party that focuses on Hip Hop, Soul, Funk, Disco incorporated with MC and human beatbox. With popup corners, food vendors, record shop, and massage, there’s something for everyone.
